How to make your Computer Respond to your Voice


Have you ever imagined a life of having a supercomputer of your own?A computer Which Responds to your Voice and executes the tasks just by listening to your voice? Sounds interesting, right? With "Windows Speech Recognition", you can easily do what you were currently imagining.

This feature is only for Windows 7 and Latest versions.....
Windows XP and Older Versions are not Supported...........

Things you are going to need:
1. A Desktop PC or a Laptop
2. A Microphone (Recommended)
                      or
    A Smartphone (Alternative, learn how to set it up as Mic for PC)

Setting up Speech Recognition:

Go to Control Panel>Ease of access>Speech Recognition

Firstly, click on set up microphone, and choose the
type of microphone you have. The process is simple and would be completed in a couple of minutes.
After Setting up the microphone, Click on the option "Take the speech tutorial" and learn the commands from the computer itself. The computer will teach you various commands, including It may take much time but this will result in your computer to better understand you..

The thing you will need during this process is PATIENCE, which is the key. You may need to spend half-an-hour or so during this process. So, just dont hurry.

Now, choose "Train your computer to better understand you". It is where you will be asked to Speak what Text is written on the Screen,It may take sometime but it will make Your computer to better understand how you speak and pronounce.

Now, you can start speech recognition and make your computer talk. 


Using Speech Recognition:

Once you have completed the process, you can start using speech recognition. Remember, whenever you forget any command, just say "What can I say?" or and Windows Speech Recognition will open up a window that will show you all the commands. If the command is not listed say "Show Numbers" and numbers will be shown on every option. Then say the number and then OK.

Remember to speak clear and loud while using speech recognition. The distance between the microphone and your lips should be around one and a half inch.

Windows Speech Recognition will start every time you start the computer. You can also start it manually when needed. On starting, it will show as sleeping. Say "Start Listening" and the computer will listen to everything you say.To stop listening and Sleep say "Stop Listening".
